Q: Why Become a Member?

A: Certain medical conditions often require special medications. In addition to the stress of undergoing any medical treatment, paying for medications can become a burden. That is why DesignRx was created: to help you better afford your specialty medications. Through our network of specialty pharmacies DesignRx can bring you discounts on specialty medications ranging anywhere from 15% to 30% depending on which specialty pharmacy you choose. In addition to discounts on your medications, getting your medications from a specialty pharmacy that specializes in supplying these medications has substantial benefits. Specialty pharmacies will give you the support you need in education and experience with these medications – and will be there for you when you have questions about your medications. At DesignRx we strive to provide you the best Value and Service for your medication needs.

Q: I have enrolled in DesignRx®, how much will I save on my medications?

A: The amount you will save will vary depending on the place of purchase your specialty medications. You should consistently save between 15%-30%.

Q: How much does it cost to enroll?

A: Nothing!!! Enrollment is free.

Q: How will my registration be confirmed?

Q: How can you offer these great discounts on my specialty medications?

A: We have negotiated discounts with the pharmaceutical manufacturers and we are passing those savings along to you!

Q: What is Managed Cash®?

A: The best explanation is that it is a program that applies "managed care" drug discount principals to those patients who must pay cash for their prescriptions, and who do not have insurance or third party coverage to reduce the amount they must pay at the point of sale. Very simply, drug manufacturers show an occasional willingness to extend discounts to third party entities for increased unit volume and product market share. While this broad business concept is used in virtually all trades for goods and services, with prescription drugs it has historically been only extended to Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Managed Care Plans (insurance companies), and Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) which demonstrate to that manufacturer an ability to deliver the necessary volume or market share to justify the discount. Insurance Companies and PBMs achieve their volume and market share targets by restricting drug access for non-preferred drugs through a pre-selected pharmacy network. DesignRx® is not an Insurance Company or a Pharmacy Benefit Manager. However, DesignRx® applies a similar model for its unique patient membership. DesignRx® negotiates drug discounts on behalf of its membership and enforces its formulary through a carefully selected pharmacy network. Through Managed Cash®, DesignRx® applies the managed care pharmacy management concepts to those patients who join the program, but have no insurance for the prescription at issue.

Q: Can I buy any of my prescriptions directly from DesignRx®?

A: No. DesignRx® is not a pharmacy. DesignRx® is not a provider of healthcare. Any medical question you have pertaining to any DesignRx formulary product should be directed to your physician or pharmacist.
